Last weekend we got rid of the last remaining kitchen unit so that we could remove the wallpaper behind it and prep the room for plastering (see above). We also moved all of our tools upstairs and cut away some of the water pipes which were in the way. We can connect up new ones once the plastering is done. As far as weekends at the house are concerned this was a pretty relaxed one and we even left early on Sunday! I guess it's good as we need to recharge our batteries for when the next push forward comes. Here is a list of some of the jobs that are coming up:
- Install down lights in lounge and kitchen (12 in total)
- Paint upstairs bedrooms, bathroom and hallway (if plaster is dry).
- Buy and put in soundproofing insulation.
- Buy and lay floorboards for 1st floor.
- Varnish new floorboards
- Install new bathroom suite: includes having to move the toilet waste pipe :o\
Choose and fit tiles in bathroom (looking forward to having a go at that job)- Choose light fittings for bedrooms and bathroom, install.
Re-fit radiators in bedrooms, bathroom (new towel radiator) and hallway.Move in to upstairs! (May have to chop off a bit of our Pax wardrobe, as the ceiling may not be high enough).Renovate the room we are vacating in Ealing.
It's a good thing the long Easter weekend is coming up! 4 days in a row to work through some of that list. Anyone care to make a prediction as to a moving in date?
Have a Happy Wednesday. :)
